  1. I too have received the golf balls in the mail. I love them. I play the ProV1X and feel these balls give me the same feel and results as my others do. I play six days a week and need a ball with consistent results.

I played the test ball on the front 9 (41) and the ProV1x on the back 9 (36). Needless to say I noticed an immediate difference as well did my playing partners. For me personally they are close to the same off the tee but there is a considerable amount of difference on the greens. The control I had with the ProV1x was night and day better than the test ball. I noticed there is a lot of positive feedback on the test balls, but they definitely did not suit my game. Just glad for the opportunity to play them and provide feedback to say the least.
  3.      I look forward to my experience of trying any other test products that come available. I am an experienced golfer and feel my opinion would be of great value and aid other in decision making.

  4. I too have recently found myself needing to switch to the yellow ball due too my inability to track the ball after the land from the rollout. I am positive it will be the same results just different color. I actually played a mini tour event in NC recently and the results from tee to green were exactly the same as my prov1x. I will be retiring from the military next year and plan on making golf my full time next career.

I hope to get some Test Balls soon too before it gets too cold to really get an accurate assessment of the ball.  ProV1 is my ball of choice.  I'm interested to see how they could possibly make a ball that is already #1 in the World any better than it already is!

Thanks Team Titleist for the opportunity!

I have not yet gotten to use them, but i have heard they are very soft around the greens when needed.

I took these balls out Thursday and compared these to the NXT Tour S, both balls are very good but these TEST balls are HOT! When struck well they are 10 to 15 yards longer off the tee and with the irons they had a great penetrating ball flight and very stabile in the wind, also very soft around the greens and stopped on a dime! What are these?, great ball!!!!!!!

Different people have different prototype balls; some like mine are yellow with black numbers and logos, others have white balls with red numbers. The big question is "which type do you have and is it a new version of an existing ball; if so, what is that ball?" I got the email survey and completed it a few days ago. Does anybody have a response from Titleist which identifies their prototype as a specific replacement for an existing ball???

    I got balls!

a sleeve of 3 whites with red numbers turned up yesterday. Rained off today so I'll give them a whack next week

I also received a sleeve of test golf balls. They looked like NXT Tour balls (black). I tried them out against the Pro V1x balls that I like the most. The test balls were great around the greens, good feel and easy to control. However, they seemed to be shorter off of the tee. I am wondering where I am supposed to give this feedback to. It was fun to test these out.

Received test sleeve a couple of weeks ago. No ind. what they are.

Orange #, double digit shared play with brothers and sister in law (who won't

give up the ball). Some Velocity distance with NXT feel around greens. +++

Didn't get any of the test balls sent to me but a buddy of mine let me knock one around from his sleeve.  Felt a little pop off the driver but didn't really get a good feel for distance control or touch around the green.  I got through 13 holes before I put it in the woods on #14!

Received mine in the post today,so my wife informs me, as I am in work I have no idea what ball they might be.

I only signed up to Team Titleist a couple of months ago, so I am really pleased to have this opportunity to trial a new ball. Hoping to try them out next week, weather permitting, and will post my feelings/results as soon as I can.

Received a new sleeve of test balls with instructions that I would receive a "Review" survey in a couple of weeks. That was about four weeks ago. Second time this has happened and haven't had survey e-mailed. Anybody else run up against this? By the way, whatever they were they are excellent.

Assuming it hasn't been hiding for a year and it is white, it will likely be an non-urethane coated ball. The Titleist Logo and the color of the number imprint will like match one of the existing balls. The DT Trusoft is out now and Titleist has traditionally released the balls with the PGA Show at the end of January. This year will be the non-urethane balls. Which ball it is exactly is simply a guess. We'll find out in January if all the existing lines will continue with improvements or if a new line will be introduced. Even if provided with the test balls, Titleist doesn't confirm which one.

Thanks for the response. Couple of days later I ran into the guy that lost it. He showed me the other two from his sleeve. Being a good sport I returned it (reluctantly) to him. The ball was white had the same black lettering as the Pro-V1. I really loved the way I hit it for those few holes. It did however pick up a few little nicks on it. Thanks again....

I got mine in the mail, I think they are the new Velocity series.  They hit long and the feel really soft around the greens.

Received a sleeve of yellow test balls in oct and really liked them. Would love to know what they were to buy some for the coming season. Will TITLEIST tell me if I can find on the site where to ask this question?

Received mine last week and I'm absolutely gutted that I can't go out and give them a try, I was involved in an RTI and won't be swinging a club for sometime. Will still let you know when I can though

  26. Played with one of the test balls today and really enjoyed the experience. Great and true flight, back spin on the wet greens - a first for me - but they still don't float and sometimes, they were scared of the dark. When the weather improves, I'll use the other two.

At this stage, I'd but some. i'm a 27 handicapper and to find a ball that goes straight each shot is truly a good purchase.

As a 'Scottish' tester the disadvantage was trying to get out to use the much appreciated new test balls received last month.

Finally managed first round with ball and can already feel better response on short game approaches and putting.

Will try to get game with another test user to get second opinion but overall fly well in cold air and good surface when hitting obstacles, trees on our course seem to draw ball to them.

Not been able to use mine yet either; the weather over here has been atrocious. Fingers crossed I'll be out there on Saturday and Monday and will certainly be giving them a whirl

Being in sub arctic Canada, I haven't been able to use mine yet either. Delivery missed my trip to Phoenix by a week. Looking forward to testing mine out, probably in May when our course opens. But, if I get a chance to golf before then, I will be tucking one into my bag

    Josh,

I received test balls over two months ago and still did not receive an email for feedback.  My  particular  test items had no markings other than test on them.  I would love to provide feedback as I have never had better short game action on any ball I ever used.  No loss of distance off the tee either maybe a tad longer but not as straight but acceptable.  I would game them if I KNEW WHAT THEY WERE.

I got them, but its funny. Titleist never follows up asking for an opinion!

I absolutely loved them. They were soft , Definitely their answer to cally Chromesoft, and a fantastic ball. Very long and stunning control. I love the sleeve I got.

Funny I found the  test balls a of a Jeckle and Hyde, feeling very hard off the driver but lots of feel when using wedges and putting. It is difficult to judge distance off the tee in bad weather and high winds. My feeling however is that the test ball carry is slightly less than my present ball but very straight in the wind. Would I change, the jury's still out.

  39. Got the balls, played in 45 degree temp. Ball appeared to give me a little more distance and a softer feel. Putting felt true to line. I am an old rickety man who plays to a 16 handicap, but I enjoyed these balls, would buy if I knew their name.I Loaned one to my son-in-law who plays to a 4 handicap, I don't know why, but he, also loved them. Thanks for the opportunity, but what name are they? Emrich S

Kathy, typically you receive the new version of the ball you have listed as the ball you play in your profile.

That's good to know!  I was afraid the testing session was past for this year.  I'm still looking forward to participating this go-around, and will keep an eye on the mailbox.
