     Hey, everyone.

Looks like we may get a few days of warm weather here in the Northeast. I'm hoping to play my first round of 2017, so I put my mark on the first dozen of the year. Can't wait to try the new Pro V1's!

Do you mark your golf balls a dozen in advance, like I do?  Do you set up shop on your couch? Or maybe at the breakfast table before you head out for your round? Or do you wait until you get to the first tee?  Please share your stories and rituals and include a photo of your mark!

    Thanks,

    Rick

I mark my Titleist balls a sleeve at a time. No real reason I just do it. I mark them and then place a sleeve in my bag. Then I put the rest in my closet, I guess I am saving them? But I do mark them in advance so they are ready to put in play.

Just the same. Set out and mark them a dozen at a time, and even worse, when I do the special at the beginning of the year, all 4 dozen at the same time. Set up on the couch in front of whatever PGA event is being broadcast. The custom number from Titleist, initials on the side, and a shamrock over the number. Ready for the season.

I always premarket my balls. I am a New Englander through and through so I mark mine with a red lobster on every ball I play.

Well, prior to the loyalty program, I would do just that. I'd buy a dozen balls at a time. In front of TV time, I'd take them off their sleeves and mark 3 dots on top right of "Titleist" on both sides. When I put them back, I'd mix the numbers 1,2 & 3. Next sleeve would be 4, 1, & 2 and so on.... I did that for the purpose of not having to worry that I'd have two of the same. Hard to admit, but it helped a lot when I had to play a provisional ball. :-)

Nowadays, I have all the same number and text/logo, but I still put the three dots on both sides. I mark them as I get to the practice putting green.

I normally mark them before they go into the bag. I like to use the 3 lines to help square my putter face. I use a blue middle line for my ProV1's and a red middle line for my ProV1x's

I wish I had a great story to tell, but I am normally opening a sleeve and marking them as I am waiting to hit on the first tee.
Blue dots at the one and seven o'clock positions for me.

By thw way, the weather in Chicago this week has been awesome. Got 4 rounds in.
Hope you get some of it.

It's that Titleist feeling I get... I get bored after cleaning my clubs, taking a few swings, hitting a couple chip shots, waggling every club in the bag, dumping my Titleist valuables pouch out to ensure the exact number of short and long tees, sharpening my pencil for my lime green gator yardage book/scorecard holder, check on the last Pro V1x I put in play for scuffs or imperfections but mostly to adore those dimples, and then...well it seems like all the time! I would typically do all of this then mark one sleeve at a time, take one of the balls out and put in the side pocket, the other two pre-marked balls back into the sleeve box then into the holding pocket ready for the call to duty. #ThatTitleistFeeling You had me at cursive T script.

Do a dozen at a time, to justify veg time in front of the TV. Time for a redo when into my last marked dozen. Still need to stock the '17 V's.

I have migrated to the buy 3 get 4 deal from Titleist...get personalized golf balls with my exact number....have loved that option the last couple of years.

I always mark an entire dozen in advance, that way I'm not fumbling around trying to get my marker out to mark a new ball on the course.
Single red dot to the right of the number.

First Tee. I get out my gamer and mark it fresh. Either a pink dot over the number or a triangle over the number.
We have had such a great warm "winter". Been in the 80's this week. I have around 20 rounds in for 2017.
    Hit them well Scorpion.

Three black dots to the right of the number, one sleeve at a time. I keep a couple of extra sleeves in the bag and mark them when I need new balls. When I have mine customized, they have a blue FJA on them.

Rick. Every spring Titleist runs a special promotion on their ProV1's. I order 3 to 4 dozen during this time with both my initials and the # 12. This is just another way Titleist takes care of its customers.

Mine are personalized with my sons name and birthdate. I do add a line but do that before heading to the first tee.

    Rick,
I mark my Pro V's this way. The odd number balls with 3 red dots around the number on 1 side only. I mark the even number balls with 3 blue dots around the number on 1 side. I mark all the balls at one time usually while listening to music with headphones in. I play even number balls on even number days & odd number balls on odd number days. But most of mine are special numbers 23 & 66 with 2 dozen of standard 1-4 numbers. Something I started last year for some reason.

Man! Wish I could, Chuck. We got a nice little reprieve for a couple days, but winter hasn't quite finished fighting yet up here.

    Play well!

I mark my Titleist with a gold dot near the number. I play the yellow DT Solo (until I run out of them) or the yellow NXT Tour S.
  24. I am with Chris - last few years I have done the B3G1F and get custom numbers with initials and UNC#1 on each ball, so marking with Sharpie is not necessary
