    I play the ProV 1, I like the less spin off the tee box and good stopping around the greens.

    Have tried the new Tour Speed twice now and this is my thoughts. FEEL: Off my Mr driver they feel hard and hook more than other balls I use. IRONS: Ball felt much better and distance was 5 -8 yards longer. Also had good stopping power on greens. WEDGES: Ball spun well but not as much as a Pro V1 and feel was good. CONTROL: Except for the driver control was very good ans was able to his draws and cuts easily. Over all I'd give the ball a B+ rating. Will keep testing to see if I can get this rating higher.

    I played this morning and used the Tour Speed on the first nine holes and really liked them. They felt solid off the driver and fairway metals and were solid on the irons and wedges into the green. Good drop and stop. They felt very much like the 2020 Tour Soft. I played the 2020 Tour Soft on the back nine. Shot 39 on front and back with a birdie on each nine. They are the same price. Is the plan to replace the tour soft with the tour speed, if so, please make them in yellow at age 68 the yellow are easier for me to see. I liked the Tour Speed but would only switch if they make them in yellow. I prefer the alignment aid on the Tour Speed better than the big T on the Tour Soft. The big T is very distracting. I hit both of those longer than the AVX probably because they are a softer compression.

    Thanks for your assessment of the Tour Speed. I'll be trying them soon, too. I totally agree about the big "T" on the Tour sort. Thankfully I still have a supply of personalized 2018 Tour Softs.

    Got a sleeve of the new Tour Speed and have played a couple of rounds. Very soft feel, much like the EXP 01. Lands very soft sound the greens when chipping and does have some check from 20-30 yards and then releases with less speed than say the AVX. I currently play the ProV1X, and I find that I wasn’t getting more distance off the driver with the Tour Speed because it does not have as high a launch. I think that can be solved with an adjustment of more loft in the driver. The ball runs out nicely too, and when I got it to launch higher did not “stall” out. Where it performs great is with the irons. I was easily 8-10 yards longer and the ball grabs nicely on the greens; my ball mark usually within 5 feet from where the ball settles. But the best part is that I noticed that on my mishits, there seemed to be some forgiveness involved. Even when I hit a couple of irons thin (one 6 and one 8) the ball seemed to travel just fine and I was within 20 feet of the pin both times. Great ball. A lot to like about it.

    Played the new Tour Speed last 2 rounds and surprisingly scored several strokes lower than my handicap. Did not notice a big difference from AVX on Driver and Fairway shots. Did hit a few drives out there with the longer players. There was a noticeable difference with my irons: felt much more solid hits and straighter piercing flight. Thought I could compress the ball more with my Irons. Wedges feel very soft and give some confidence controlling the ball. Putting is where you really notice how soft the Tour Speed is compared to the AVX. Will keep these in the bag.

    Since it has been posted elsewhere that the compression is just under the AVX and has a higher flight, I thought I'd try it. Used it for 4 holes after 5 holes with a Pro-V1. It felt good, and the distance exceeded my expectations. I'll have to hold final judgement on that. We've been dry for 3 weeks and the ground is like concrete, but on 3 uphill shots, I definitely got more roll than expected.

    I won't be switching from the Pro-V1 until/unless there is an amber. Lost the white ball flight against a hazy sky.

    Tried new tour speed great ball. Cover little soft for occasional cart path tussle but bought a dozen. Looking to switch from cally soft. Team Titleist when is this ball coming out in yellow for us older visually challenged hackers?

    From the zoom call the other day on the Tour Speed, late spring of 2021 is the target date For a yellow version.

    Glad to see another mid-priced three piece ball again--I really missed my NXT Tour! Is this intended as a replacement? I certainly will try it, whether I get a free tray in the mail or not. (hint, hint)

    I also agree with others about the annoying alignment lines. I get so tired of seeing the pros fiddling with their line direction before getting down to the important part of actually hitting the ball. Come on now, do we really need all these alignment lines? And they are all different! Mostly what they do is contribute to more slow play.

    What do you think? Should alignment lines be abolished to speed up play?

    The tooth paste is out of the tube on alignment lines. If they were abolished players would just draw their own. If a rule was adopted to ban that players would just use the name stamp, which is how it all started anyway.

    I personally don’t care for heavy alignment lines either. I like the simple name with arrows on the ProV’s so you can either use it or switch to the blank side of the ball. As for the rule, I would rather see them burn all the greens books. The art of reading greens should be a vital part of the game and if they can’t read the green it doesn’t matter where you point the alignment line.

    Dale, totally agree on aligning putts. Most putters have an alignment aide on them. If you are a decent putter and you line up your putter properly and strike your putt on your line, with or without a line on your ball it will roll on that line. That is how I learned to putt. The feel and tempo in the putter. The more time you spend looking at that putt will increase your ability to miss the putt. Most have played long enough and go with that gut feeling, which is experience. Old school putter. No worries and with respect to all opinions.

    The Tour Soft was the NXT Tour replacement. The Tour Speed is the Titleist response to the softer not quite tour ready Chromesoft, Tour Response, B-Rx, and Q-Star Tour. It is definitely an improvement over the Q-Star Tour that came out in yellow before Pro-V’s.

    I’ve had difficulty lining up putts so I’ve been marking lines to help line up the putter. The Tour Speed side marker is easy enough for me to line up w/o being as obnoxious as the Chromesoft. I would be spending more time lining up putts w/o the side marker. Making more putts takes less time. Reading greens takes more time than replacing the ball on the mark. DJ’s pre-shot putting routine including the caddie checking breaks slows play, not lining up the ball to the expected line. That replacing the ball is slowing play is pretty harsh to those of us needing a different visualization to hit a line.

    I have played Pro VX for years but have really liked the Tour Soft.Will be trying the Tour Speed soon.Why folks don’t play Titleist just don’t understand !! The best quality in a wide range of balls for every golfer. I’m 75 have seen and played many different balls and Titleist has always been my ball of choice. At my age playing to a six handicap and expecting to get lower with my Titleist golf ball.

    I received a sleeve of new Tour Speed golf balls and provided a review to the Titleist Tour Speed Golf Balls [Official Review Thread]

    I had my brother-in-law, who was playing cally Chromesoft Triple Track golf balls try them. He found the Tour Speed was 10-15 yards longer off his driver and 1 club longer with his irons. He shoots between 85-95 consistently.

    I played 18 with him this past weekend and noticed his ball flight with driver was definitely longer and more penetrating. He was in position to reCh 3 of 4 par 5s in two, hitting one of them and just short on the other two. He commented on how much more consistent the Tour Speed is for him.

    I am recommending this to a number of fellow players. Great product!!

    I've played a couple of rounds with my 'demo sleeve' of Tour Speed balls courtesy of Titleist. Here is a quick and dirty on my experience:
    Distance - these balls hit hard and far
    Spin - seems to have decent spin around the greens. Good back spin on wedges and short irons.
    Ball Flight - high
    Feel and Sound - The feel is different from the ProV1 or AVX. The sound is also different. The ball performs, but hear is where I get a bit picky. Every golfer has different expectations here and so this is a very subjective comment. I don't like the sound of the ball off my putter! Minor point, because the ball performs, but that is my subjective experience. I would stay with my ProV1. I prefer the sound and the somewhat more substantial feel of the Prov1 off my putter.

    Recommendation: give it a try. Like I said, this ball performs really well. If you like the short game feel of the ball then you have a less expensive alternative to the ProV1 level ball.

    Rich, if they had kept the name "NXT Tour", this would be the ball with that label. The Tour Soft would be the NXT Tour S ball. The technology is still there. If you liked the NXT Tour, the name change shouldn't be too big an issue. The technology changes on every ball. Today's ProV1 is better than the original, still called ProV1 but significantly different over time. This is just an improved NXT.
