I tested the 2021 Pro Vx today .This ball feels softer than the previous model. The distance is 3 to 5 yards of the driver, and 2 to 3 with the irons. The ball feels great off the putter. It is a great ball. I am looking forward to using this ball in 2021. Titleist has made a great ball even better.

I got my box. Unfortunately the weather hasn't been that great and I want to give them a proper try before commenting.

Will post my review as soon as I can.

I received my white box of ProV1’s several weeks ago. Due to weather and other factors, I finally had the opportunity to play the new balls. I normally play optic yellow since I have a difficult time seeing the ball in flight and as it descends on shots longer than about 150 yards. I hit the balls on all four par 3’s at my course and was very impressed. I like the softer feel and it seemed to fly several yards further than the previous version. With all that said, I purchased a dozen yellow last week and have been playing with them. My initial impression after three rounds - they are everything Titleist says and exactly what I have been needing.

Was fortunate enough to receive the 2021 Pro V1 golf ball and take it out for some testing. It has been a busy month for me as I recently purchased my first home and haven't had the time to play as much golf as I would like. I finally had the opportunity last weekend to go play and I couldn't wait to try out these new balls. They were awesome. Completely lived up to the hype and exceeded my expectations. I gained roughly 5-10 yards with my irons and they feel of them off the club face was unreal. I was able to really control the flight of the ball. I like to play a soft fade but love hitting a draw when I have to. I could make the ball go both ways and it reacted well off the club face. It even felt great coming off the putter face. It made a perfect "Pop" sound every time and rolled true.
Looking forward to putting these in the bag and thank you to Team Titleist for the opportunity!!
  5. Thank you Titleist. Played a great round with the new Pro V1x’s. Marked it like Webb.

I unfortunately didn't get a white box of the new ProV1's but bought some as soon as they were available. I bought the V1 and V1x to test and even ordered a box of left dash to compare. As usual, very, very good balls. I'm hitting the ProV1x and left dash with a much lower trajectory than I was used to but it is cold weather here in Central Oregon. In fact lucky to be playing this time of year. The ProV1 still has the super buttery feel I love but it definitely wasn't going as far as the V1x OR the left dash. The left dash surprised me and I think it might be the ball I hit the farthest...at least right now. I hope to get down to AZ in late March and test them in some warm weather before I decide which ball to order during the buy 3 get 4 promo in April that I always take advantage of (Plus the personalization).

Just saying that Titleist seems to have nailed the ball again and I'm very happy with the performance of all the balls.

  7. I lost the first of my "white box" Pro V1's after several rounds. It was still looking completely like new right up until the point it entered a water hazard, it now sleeps with the fishes.

The second ball from the sleeve made it through four rounds but was looking much the worse for wear. Late In the fourth round I had to hit a half-buried shot from a muddy bunker and there must have been a little stone down in there. It made a loud clank, took a gouge out of the face of my Vokey wedge and put a big scratch in the cover of my Pro V1. I hate it when that happens!

So I retired that one to the shag bag and am now happily playing with the third "white box" ball. We'll see how long this one lasts and then I've already purchased a dozen to tide me over until the big Loyalty Rewarded promotion comes around this spring.

This 2021 model has finally converted me from Pro V1x to Pro V1, never thought that would happen.

I was finally able to test the golf balls I received! I live in Michigan, but a trip to Phoenix gave me a great opportunity.

I hit the X remarkably straight, and I felt like it traveled a bit farther than normal for me. My normal miss is to the right, and I didn’t have a single slice in my two rounds... not one.

As always, however, the spin around the greens was excellent. I nipped one from the desert that checked and came back and made me look much better than I am..

Honestly, maybe it’s just a placebo effect because it’s a new ball, but I felt so confident that I will certainly be buying the 2021s immediately.

    I really liked it.

Got the coveted “white box” with 8 inches of white stuff forecasted won’t be able to use them in the near future. Thank you Titleist.

Haven’t had a chance to try my demo X’s due to the weather, but hope to soon. Curious to compare them to last year’s Left Dash.

    Hi all,

I posted my feedback already for putting and chipping the new ProV1. As for hitting woods and irons I found the new balls responsive and crisp. The main difference I could perceive was that the newer ball was a bit quieter off the face of my TSI2 driver and T100 irons. Performance was similar to the performance of an older ProV1 that I would alternate. It did seem that spin was less with the newer ball. The back spin seemed less when when hitting to pins. Greens were a bit different so this would really need to be tested further. I also felt like the spin off the driver was less so the run out was a bit better with the newer ball. Even though the new ball was a bit quieter I liked it and would continue to play it in the future. It was fun doing the test!

  13. I got my sleeve a few weeks ago then my back went south so here is my delayed review.

    I loved the new ball.

Overall: For me it seemed to be a livelier ball but with great feel at the same time. I value the the 125 yards and in performance most of all and this ball was fantastic. I generally bounce between 8.3 to 9.1 index and rely heavily upon my short game. So I expect the ball to stop and/or roll when I want it to. This ball does just that and does it better than any ball out there. Certainly none that I have tried come close to the drop and stop performance of Titleist.

Irons: this is where I felt it most or noticed the most difference in it and the previous version. I hit my 7 iron 150 yards for reference. So I am not compressing the ball like a pro but this ball seems to go a little farther and a little straighter. You can still shape your shots left or right you just have to be a little more deliberate about it.

Driver: The drive is my weakest link in my bag but I was able to keep these in play for a good while before rinsing them in the Florida ponds. The distance was good and probably longer than its predecessor. Overall the ball just feels a bit livelier but without losing any spin for the short game.

Thanks to Titleist for letting us play with their new products.
  14. I had a leftover sleeve of 2019 Pro V1 in my locker so in Sunday’s round I tried playing one as a second ball on four random holes just to compare to the 2021 version that I was playing for real. I only hit the driver and one iron shot with both balls on those holes.

I thought maybe the 2021 version flew a tiny bit tiny but hard to say with just a few shots. One thing I can say for sure, though. The old model makes a much louder sound at impact with a driver than the new one. Every time I hit the 2019 ball I kind of laughed because it sounded like I hit it twice as hard.

Sounds like the 2021 really is softer, as promised! I get used to whatever a ball I play regularly, hard or soft. But I must say this is either the softest high performance ball I’ve ever tried or the highest performance soft ball ever. Maybe both...
  15. Big thanks to Team Titleist for sending me the new 2021 Pro V1s to test! I've only been able to test so far via indoor putting green considering it is the middle of winter here in IL. I can't wait for the weather to break 45 degrees so I can give them a true testing and report back!

    Thanks again!

Hi all, I posted this a couple weeks ago but I could not find it again (maybe it was lost like an errant tee shot).
Thanks Team Titleist for the test ProV1 sleeve. I usually switch between two different balls in a round to try them out but these I stayed with throughout. They're great. I found them to check exceptionally well on the greens. I've always found the ProV's to have a superiorly penetrating ball flight on the drives and these follow suit.
I'm all in these for 2021!

I got my box of Pro V1 sometime back and finally got a chance to play a round with them while on vacation in SW Utah. The first thing I noticed was a much softer sound and feel from the cover while chipping and putting. Easy to control spin on low pitches and lob shots. The course I played was Copper Rock in Hurricane, Ut. Course conditions were very firm and greens quite slick. Drives were a little lower ball flight than I expected, but carry was very good. Approaches with T400 irons were stopping within a few feet of landing even though most weren't even leaving a ball mark due to firmness of the greens. 6i was releasing five feet or so. Wedges with a full swing were drop and stop. Half shots with wedges were taking one bounce and checking immediately. Again, ball flight a little lower than expected, but no loss of distance. I have a stockpile of the previous model or would put this ball into play right away. The difference in feel alone would be worth the change for me.

Well, with winter having been winter in MA, I'm relegated to putting on a carpet for golf activity. I have tried both the 2021 Pro V1x (my preferred model over the past two generations) as well as the 2021 Pro V1 and in comparison to the 2019 Pro V1x. With my 'bagged' putter, a Phantom X 6 STR, I notice that both '21 balls feel pretty soft, and the sound is quite comparable on shorter as well as 30' putts. It's hard to feel a difference, but there is a slight sound difference. When I tried some back up putters, the differences were a bit more noticeable, perhaps due to not having the softer face of the Phantom models. The next putter was a Studio Select Newport 2.7, and I definitely liked the softer sound and slightly softer feel of the '21 Pro V1x vs. its predecessor. And, finally, I tried a Newport 2 Long Neck with the Teryllium insert, and that just reinforced the feel and sound from the Studio Select. I will want to get outside and see some ball flight to determine which ball is truly better for my game, but if the '21 Pro V1x has a bit more spin on shorter clubs (and especially around the green), I'll stick with it.

Funny, back when the Pro V1 was a new ball, I had a definite preference for the softer feel as it was closer to the balata ball feel I had grown into playing. I never would have guessed that I would gravitate to the distinctive click and firmer feel of the Pro V1x, but then again, the relative performance of the models was swapped in 2017. And, the slightly firmer/crisper/louder putting sensations that the Pro V1x provide give me a bit more feedback to help judge longer/lag putts. I've also been trying to work with firmer putters (no soft inserts) to reinforce this notion. (Or, maybe that is just in my mind, but if it is working, stick with it!)

White box showed up a few weeks ago and was a pleasant surprise to help me get through the snowy blues we were having this winter. Ball feels great off of my new SM8 for a little indoor chipping session through the house and as well as amazing feel with the Scotty on the putting mat in the basement. Ball passes the indoor home test with flying colors. Hoping to be able to get out on the course in the next few days as the weather looks like it's breaking starting tomorrow. Will take what we can get at this point! Thanks again TT for letting us try the new golf ball models and trusting our feedback!!!
  20. Finally getting to use mine this weekend!! thanks again Team Titleist
