  1. Returned to the game after a 12-year hiatus and have always been drawn to Titleist drivers and fairways. I went TRS2 in both the driver and fairway (18*) for the forgiveness and added distance needed since I am "rusty" and just getting back into the swing of things.

I think a good question is why would I play anything else?

I've been playing Titleist drivers for 21 years.

    Played the PT, 975D, 975J-VS, TS4, TSi4, and now the TSR2.

I've dabbled with other companies, but none could compete with Titleist.

The TSR2 is like cheating. I've almost missed a drive, but still had good speed and tight dispersion. Couple that with quality and it's a no brainer.
  3. On release day, I purchased a Titleist TSR2 11 degree driver to replace my png G425 Max 10.5 degree.

Yesterday, I participated in a Team Titleist fitting session at my local golf course, to ensure that I had chosen the correct club.

After a half hour on the Trackman, the fitter had made the necessary adjustments. Launch angle was increased to 13 degrees, smash factor was at 1.5, and spin rate was 2500.

Final results was an 11 degree head with a Project X Hzdrus CB 50 gram 5.9 shaft in the D3 setting. I picked up around 5 to 8 yards of carry with a tight dispersion pattern.

I also bought a TSR 3 and 5 wood to go with my T300 irons, SM9 wedges and Cameron Phantom X 5 putter. All of which were purchased within the last month.

Titleist makes the best golf clubs. Period.
  4. As mentioned in a previous thread, I found hard to believe the marketing. I had a TS/2 4year driver. Upgraded about three weeks ago. increased distance by 7-10 yards. the amazing thing about the new TSR2 is it's hard to not keep in fairway! LOL

Even mishits keep the ball in relative play. Plays well to my draw

At 59 years old, distance helps by playing a lesser club into greens, confidence factor is amazing. Love the club. waiting for 2023 iron offerings to replace my 2019 T300 irons.

    Always a Titleist customer.

I put the TSR2 driver in my bag about a month ago. I am definitely straighter and about 10 yards longer off the tee with this club. It produces a very solid strike with a pleasant sound coming off the club. I am very happy with this purchase and upgrade added to my golf bag.
  6. Played my TSR 2 for the first time yesterday. Distance was up noticably and I hit 13 out of 14 fairways!

I started with an appointment for a fitting session for the new TSRs. I'm a bit low on clubhead speed now after some injuries (plus advancing age). My past Titleist drivers have been TSi3 and TS3, but I let the fitter do his work without asking what he had given me. I didn't spend time watching the TrackMan results but rather let Paul figure this out. What I noticed was a consistent flight without either excessive nor insufficient spin. I was surprised when I was shown that it was the TSR2 11* head with the SureFit set to 10.25*, but again, I let the results speak for themselves. Was it longer? Hard to tell without checking TrackMan. It was definitely more consistent, shot to shot, and the strikes toward the heel or toe seemed to be in the same general window without sacrificing much distance. On that day, my ball striking was pretty consistent, but since then, my golf (fall golf in MA, excepting the past weekend of 70*+) and ball striking haven't been as consistent. Yet, the Pro V1x seems to be in a lot of good places. Now, I need to start hitting more greens from the fairways.

Q: What is worse than making double bogey from the fairway? A: Hah, making triple bogey!

Next goal is not to make double bogeys from anywhere. Now that I am more consistently in the fairway, that should be a reasonable goal to achieve! Thanks for an improved weapon, Titleist!
  8. Titleist drivers have been in my bag quite a few years now. The performance and quality of these drivers are the best I have
used. Each generation of drivers always exceeds my expectations.

I got fitted for a new TSR3 driver and began playing with it recently. I am almost 70 years old and I have been playing Titleist equipment since high school golf. I believe that this is one of the finest and most playable pieces of equipment I have ever put into play. My distance has increased, my trajectory is ideal and I am getting the slight draw flight I like to play. I am so grateful for the technology improvements as it has allowed me to maintain my distance even as I have gotten older and continue to enjoy the great game of golf. I also switched to TSR 3 15 degree and 19 degree clubs and value them as much as my driver. Cheers to Titleist staff for the excellent work.
  10. #Gamechanger!

This fall I switched from the TSi2 to the TSR3 and my carry distance exceeds my previous total distance off the tee. I turned 56 this year and hitting it farther than I ever have. I love the look, feel, and sound of the TSR3, and the performance is second to none as I am experiencing greater distance and accuracy. My set up is 10 degree with Ventus Blue TSR 6-S.

I also added the TSR2+ fairway with Graphite Design Tour AD UB 6-S, WOW! I was hesitant due to it marketed as a tee biased fairway wood, but I can honestly say that I hit it very solid from the fairway, actually better than any fairway wood I have had in the past 10 years. It is a cannon from the fairway and also very accurate. Don’t hesitate to make the TSR2+ your go to on long par 5’s from the fairway. Accuracy and workability exceeded my expectations!

    Thank you Titleist!
  11. I had some shop credit at my club that needed to be spent. I bought the TSR2 with Tensei blue shaft. Big mistake. I would highly recommend getting fit before purchasing. IMO, this stock shaft is a POS.

What do I love about the new TSr 2 driver? Very simple, even I can’t hit it crooked!
  14. I was recently fitted for the new TSR2. I was playing an older D917, which is an outstanding driver. I was shocked at the distance and dispersion improvement with the new TSR driver. I’ve played 3 rounds with the TSR and my buddies noticed my driving accuracy improvement after digging deep into their pockets. I almost paid for the club after just 3 rounds. I’m in AZ so our season is just getting started

    Specs: TSR2, A1, +2gm, length -0.5, Project X HZRDUS Black 4G 70 TSR, Flex 6.5.

Thanks to Steve Creekmore for the fitting!
  15. I was custom fit in Brentwood, TN for my TSR3 by Peter Clark who is with Titleist. I previously had a TS3; I skipped the TSI generation. All I can say is BEST driver I have ever owned/hit! What I am telling people, the TSR3 takes me back to my high school days. What I mean by that is I played 5-6 days a week on my HS team which of course made the game much easier. I am now 59. When I look down at address at the TSR3 it just looks easy to hit, like it used to be playing almost every day of the week. I have control on where the ball goes, I have greater distance and workability like my old HS days! The TSR3 is a serious game changer in my book! Golf is awesome as it is, but when you have this much confidence off the tee, it’s simply phenomenal! Thank you Peter and Titleist for helping me be a better golfer!
  16. As a "senior" golfer, I cannot say enough good things about the TSR2 Driver that is in my bag. You can read about "stats" in other folks posts, as I agree. For me it comes down to confidence and the consistency that comes from my confidence in this driver. I always feel that I will strike the ball well. I did not have that same feeling of confidence with my Epic Max, and couldn't be more pleased switching to the TSR2.

Got fitted at TPI had a great day there gained 7 mph on my ball speed with the TSR 2. I also got fitted for a fairway wood 16.5 best fairway I ever hit. Believe in getting fit it works don’t buy off the rack

Ordered my TSR3 almost sight unseen. So happy with the driver, I purchased the TSR3 3 wood. Added yardage with both, but more importantly more accuracy and forgiveness. Great clubs, great looks. Playing partners comment on how great the driver sounds. I'm just happy how I now am past many of my playing partners and hitting more fairways. Love these clubs!
  19. I was fitted for clubs at a Club Champion location in Scottsdale, AZ. I've been using the same Titleist woods for the last 10 years. After hitting drivers from all of the leading brands, the data showed that the TSR2 outperformed all others and added 20+ yards over my old Titleist driver. Glad to be part of the TSR nation.
  20. I'm 67 years old, play to a 8 handicap. Had an older Titleist 915 for about 8 years. Was fitted and purchased a Stealth driver earlier this year and have hit some good shots, still getting used to it. My son has a TSR3 with Tensei 65S shaft and used it yesterday. Distance is amazing and the ball has a nice boring flight that just keep going. I was keeping up with the 30 year olds off the tee and hitting approach shots with clubs I have not used before. Now trying to convince him this is staying in my bag........
