Bought my first cart bag...used to walk & carry..beautiful Titletist bag...but wish I didn’t buy the 14 divider model...great for storage..tons of pockets...but I’m still searching for a way to organize my clubs for easy access...

I prefer 14 dividers for my Titleist clubs; neat, organized and protected.
  4. My personal preference is 15 for a cart bag , the extra spot is for my alignment sticks and orange whip otherwise I must jam them in with another club. I like the larger opening for the putter which I use a larger grip . If most of my play is on a cart ( I live in The Villages ) and it's my own cart I like the larger cart bag as I can carry additional layers depending on changing weather . I have a standard 5 divider bag for the times I walk but I reduce the amount of clubs to 10-11

There are plusses and minuses to all configurations.

Love the 13 plus putter well on a cart bag. Much easier to organize, but the slots on the 13 clubs have to be big enough to easily slide the clubs in and out. With mid-sized grips, this becomes a problem. This is also a problem on 4-5-6 slots on a stand bag, as the grips get hung up inside the bag, rub on each other and it's a Pain to get them in and out. The biggest pet peeve is shoving them down and yanking them out.

15 slots is too many. You'd either have to increase the footprint on the bag in order to have enough room for each club. But the problem is, when you increase the footprint, you then cannot fit the cart bag in the cart properly and it has to be turned sideways, which decreases the real estate of the bag itself and you lose 50% of the bags utility.

Also, putting in a ball retriever tool inside a bag is a bad idea. Water leaks down inside the bag and all the grips get wet along with all the dust and dirt built up.

Warm up tools and alignment sticks are not permissible in tournament play and there shouldn't be an accommodation for them in the bag. Use then for warm up, then put them away. A golf bag is for golf related items, not warm up devices or ball retrievers.'

I love open side pouches for a water bottle and laser finder. Quick and easy access.

The material has to be smooth enough that grips, especially smooth grips, can slide in and out.

Also, thick, sun resistant, smooth padding on the top so shafts don't wear on it, which has happened to me in previous editions of cart bags, thus decreasing value and aesthetics of clubs, especially drivers and fw and hybrids.

The putter well is essential as many people are going to mallet head putters and with the extra padding on the covers, they don't fit into the 14 club configuration or the other configurations.

Zippers that face out instead of sideways are better. Also, the magnetic enclosures are preferable to the front zipped pouch.

The ring should be sturdy water resistant metal and not plastic. And while we're on the composition of parts, nothing should be plastic. Thick, scuff resistant rubber handles are preferable than metal. Everything should be soft and sturdy to the touch.

Each and ever bag should be water, heat and sun resistant. Standard.

Zippers should move freely and not get stuck.

I'd like to see the Titleist script in thick embroidered nylon and raised like the hats. Not sprayed on. And the bags should be customizable in any color combination. More bright, neon and fun colors should be available instead of the standard colors that have been a staple in the past. Also, a single color should be available. An all white bag would be hot.

The more padding, the better. No more plastic inside or out.

That's all I have for now.

An extra space for an umbrella would be nice. I wouldn’t go less than 14.

I like my irons to be divided, one location for the putter and one divider for my woods! Easier to take inventory at the end of the round!

  8. I like to have a cart bag with 14-15 spots . I like to keep my clubs organized and in a certain order. In a Staff bag, which I also have my clubs get tangled together. I do like a big slot for my putter since I have a oversized grip!

Golf is about tradition. Less is better. I carry my bag and still do at my age. Cart bags should have no more than 5 dividers. Simplistic is best.....Keep up the great work Titleist.
  12. With the price of clubs today, I don’t want my irons banging around, so I like 14 with full dividers.
  13. 14 or 15 is best. You want dividers to divide your clubs, so one for each club and I like the idea of an extra for aiming sticks or the orange whip. Now lets talk cart bags. There are two types of carts, the ones you drive and a walking cart. Companies are trying to make one that will work for both and that is not ideal for either. When you are driving a cart, you want all your pockets facing out. The putter slot should be in front with an oversized hole for the larger grips, but make the slot and bottom a little lower than the slots for the rest of the clubs so your clubs don't hit the large putter covers that most putters have. Now for the slots. All bag companies have started to put like a crown to the slots and the slots kind of curve thinking that you could also flip the bag around and put it on a pull cart. Doesn't work at all. Go back about 3 or 4 years and Sun Mountain's C-130 bag had all dividers lined up in straight rows and the top sloped back to front. All the clubs set perfect in the bag. My only critique for that bag was all the slots were wider than they needed to be, plus the large pockets on the sides made the bag really fat. Take that design but slim it down. If you are driving a cart you don't need all those pockets, you have a cart for rain gear etc. The C-130 set the standard, and the Titleist bag seemed identical except it had Titleist on it.
Now make the the bag the same way but leave the pockets out but reverse the slots on top so they slope from the pocket side to the strap side for a pull cart. Want to get really creative, make the bag so the top 5 inches are the dividers all sloped and lined up perfectly that you can detach and flip around and re attach depending on what type of cart you are using. It could revolutionize the cart bag and would not be that hard to do. I currently have the Titleist cart bag but miss the one from 4 years ago when the divider design was much better. I think it would be fun to design the "perfect" cart bag.

I prefer 14, helps keep clubs arranged the way I like for easy retrieval and protects the iron heads.
  15. I like 14 full length dividers. Keeping all my clubs in there own sleeves makes it easy to take them out and put them back. I think it helps save the grips some also.

I bought my first cart bag in mid season this year as I figure my days of carrying are over and I wanted a bit more room for all of the necessities.

I have to say that I'm really annoyed by all of the club slots, especially when its cart path only on wet days. I'm ready to relegate it to the garage and start over.

I wish there was a good cart bag with a lot less club slots but that doesn't seem to be an available option.

Titleist, please make a good cart bag with 4 or 5 slots...……….

I have used bags with 14 or 15 dividers for about 10 years. The dividers do not typically go the full length of the bag. So, the clubs sometimes still get stuck, even the putter will . I think I will switch back at a bag with a more traditional top next time. I think ironically it is easier to get clubs back in at times. Hybrid ideas would be a traditional top with a putter well or inidividual slots for woods and traditional for irons. I had a few Ogio bags including the Boss Hog staff bag of old and they had a top like this which looked nice and was very functional and user friendly.

This was the best setup on an old Titleist cart bag. My Scotty Cameron fit great in the large top opening.

  19. 15 for me. I have my own golf cart. All clubs have a home. The extra is for a ball retriever.

I love your 14-way bags in both cart & carry bag models. I have one of each and love them. The cart version I have is the water-proofing model and it is awesome! These dividers allow one to keep their clubs organized...which leads to many benefits: easy to find, speeds up play, alerts you if a club is missing and prevents losing clubs, and looks great! I cascade my irons from left to right around the bag and use the center dividers for woods. The front pocket is perfect to fit a putter and really quick & easy access.
The only thing I would suggest is adding a 15th divider in order to fit alignment sticks, traning aids, etc. Currently, I place those items in shared club dividers. But overall this is one of Titleist's great product offerings in te golf bag line and I would definitely recommend it to all my golfing compadres!
