For me it has to be the Masters.  There has always been something extra special about that place.  I remember growing up and watching it on TV with my Dad and the feeling when we finally had the opportunity to go to a practice round.

I agree, the hardest major to win.  Best talent, everyone has earned the right to be there.  Toughest course set up.  They change the location every year so you cannot be too knowledgeable about the course.  It is our Championship!

The Masters is a great tournament, but I'm with Dr K. on this one...the U.S. Open...for all the same reasons he listed.

For me it would go the Masters, the open championship, the u.s. open then the pga championship.  The reason the master is number one is because its the same course but its not the same course.  Every year it plays different you can have a low scoring year or a high year like Jordan last season and I personally believe that you could play the same over and over and you will never have the same two looks at Augusta.  The open championship the weather is always unpredictable and its a style of golf that normally americans don't play.  The U.S. open is a tournament that if you can hang around even par or a couple under it can be anybody tournament but they try so hard to make the courses hard that I feel they take away from being creative.  P.G.A. championship is ike a tournament thats just thrown in there.

No fluke winners at the US Open or Master's. You have to earn those wins. Love the Master's, but the US Open is the toughest test....

I would have to agree with most that have already posted.  For me it would be the Masters.

The other Majors all change venues but of course it would be great to win any of those as well. The order I would prefer is actually the order of the way they are already played.

this is a tough question.  I also love the masters for all the same reasons listed above, yet If I had to choose it would be The Open Championship.  There is something about the history and origins of the game that trump the modern game and course.

U.S. Open for sure, it just is one of the most iconic tournaments and is also our nation's tournament so it would be awesome just to hold up that trophy.

U.S. Open for me. The course setup always tests all aspects of your game. The rough at Augusta National is better than most fairways of really good golf courses. PM is a perfect example of one of the best golfers that has ever played the game but he hasn't and probably won't will a U.S. Open.

Beibg from scotland and having played quite a lot of links golf would definitely have to be the open for me, true test of golf and battling the elememts makes for a worthy champion

What ever major I would win it would definitely be for my Dad. But of the majors it would choose the Masters, just because, or the US Open, for fathers day weekend.

I totally agree Nathan. master's on Easter or U.S Open on father's day would be my choice.

For me it would be the Masters.  I think having the tournament at the same location adds to the tradition and mystique.  I also love the fact that the tournament doesn't allow sponsor logo's all over the course, has very little advertising in the way of TV commercials, and uses the old manual scoreboards.  A real step back in time.
