I'm reading through the comments and thinking what the hell is the Professional Tee System? I go check mine and, sure enough, that's exactly what I use (2 3/4 inches). I've been using the same kind seemingly forever. I just knew where they were in the shop and always grabbed the same color and length.
  2. I've been using the Tour Tee brand ones for a while now and like them. I haven't broken one, just worn out the rubber part on the top.
  3. Wood tees scar the face on my Driver, I can definitely see the difference on the face after 6 months, plus plastic tees last longer, If you loose 2-3 a day someone usually picks them up, Wood tees break easily , And there left on the tee box, My course has a small tee can for disposal, Broken or not, There's never any plastic tees left behind
  4. Anything less than driver I can generally find a broken tee to reuse on the tee box. For that reason, I've had one bag of bamboo tees in my bag easily for 10+ years. I hardly ever use more than 1 tee per round unless I lose it.
  5. I play the 3 1/4 inch Western Birch in natural colors I do not like leaving white paint on my driver. They are good tees and hold up well. I am goofy and like to use the same type of tee every time so I can get the height consistent and it keeps my OCD in check
  6. I pick up tees that I find on the course. I use whatever I find. I haven’t paid for a tee for a long time, and I probably have enough tees to last for the rest of my life.

Love Western Birch for color combinations and styles in hardwood (prefer darker stain versions) and not bamboo -- 2 3/4"

I thought I read an article (maybe My Golf Spy) that said somehow wood were better than plastic. I like wood, but I think for the majority of us, it makes no difference. Go with what you like!

I use plastic tees with the U.S. Flag on them.

I only use wooden tees....never plastic.

There is some debate and rules that private clubs have adopted on tee types. Some have banned wooden tees and some have banned plastic. I think this only applies to private clubs and possibly resorts.

Over the past couple of seasons, I have had the opportunity to use both Western Birch and Tour Tees, which are made of wood and plastic, respectively. Both styles have their merits, but I have ultimately decided to switch back to using Western Birch tees. This decision is driven by my concern for the environment, as well as the fact that I can get custom Western Birch tees in my favorite color, adding a personal touch to my game.
