Season over is right. I'd stay within the PT/MD Rx and rehab for sure. Plenty of golf ahead after that- the sooner you heal with proper therapy, the sooner you'll be back.
  2. That sucks. I would keep putting and maybe some bump and run chips. Maybe work on your balance and core. Hopefully you have a quick recovery. Good luck

I’d say you’ll prob get to practice the most useful skill.. your patience. Good luck on recovery and hope your back swinging soon!

Rest up and follow what the Dr. says, no need to prolong the healing process.

Had surgery on my right shoulder in February. I’m just now getting to where I can swing. While I was out I did some one handed putting and chipping!! I hope you have a speedy recovery, and remember don’t push yourself to hard

This advice won't help now, since the surgery is done, but it may help others and may help you in the future. I've had two major injuries in the last five years. One was my left knee, from walking too much. The second was my left elbow, from hitting too many balls on the range. I was out a year each from the injuries that happened at different times. Because I have a steep swing and the ground is so hard, it was constant pounding. I could not raise my elbow or bend my knee. My club pro, a former Tour pro, suggested stretching and massaging the injured areas, slowly and gently and work up from there. Foam roller on the IT band and the muscles above and below the elbow. I was reluctant. Two different sports doctors suggested surgery. I thought, "No, I don't want surgery." So I tried my club pro's suggestion. Long story short, full mobility in my knee and shoulder. I lost two years of golf, but I gained great insight into many many other things. I stopped hitting hundreds of balls every day from hard ground, and I stretch every day, twice a day. I firmly believe stretching is the key to longevity in golf and is great for all aspects of your life. I strengthen the areas with cardio and light weights 5 days a week and stretch after workouts and after golf every single time. Stretch. Massage. Cardio. Weights. Eat right. Sleep more. Positive attitude. Do Yoga. You'll be amazed. Good luck.
  9. My notifications were apparently not turned on for this post! Thanks for all the good wishes from all!!! Already getting some good range of motion back, strength to follow. Hopefully able to start swinging again by August. Thanks again to all, cheers!!!!
