I received mine about aweek ago. I was able to play Vahalla with them. I personally didn't see much difference than the Pro V1. I have used them all and lost or damaged them in about 7 rounds. Thank you Titliest for giving me the opportunity to test your balls. I enjoy using Titleist balls for their spin and consistency. I look forward to responding to their feedback, when they send it to me.

got mine a lil over a week ago and finally was able to play today , i think they are a lil longer off the tee then my normal pro v1 , and also found that the ball didnt spin as much with my wedges and short irons pretty much hit the green and checked with little backspin. So all in all i love em , shot 77 after a 2 week layoff . I would def buy these if my pro v1 s werent available

It is a nice surprise. I played my “test” balls this weekend. Hard to tell a difference between what was sent and the Pro V1 I play. 

I finally had a chance to test mine last night. Did it more like a "Challenge" than just playability of the new ball. Put it up against several brands and models. Very interesting results indeed! I'm operating on the premise that Titleist REALLY doesn't know who is receiving their balls. Somebody could say they are a 0-5 or 0-10. So, they send them a normal V1 or V1x and wait to see if they gush all over the place how great it is...or vice versa.

I took three videos of the challenge against Pro V1, Pro V1x, and other brands. Have to figure out how to get them posted somewhere.

Do these balls come randomly free of charge?

There is no fee to take part in prototype testing. All Team Titleist members are considered when we have opportunities like the recent test panel. We are planning on more opportunities like this in the future for Team Titleist members along with exclusive sweepstakes and other special giveaways... so stay tuned.  

As for the selection process, it varies depending on the opportunity but most are random selections. Also, the more you participate and the more engaged you are with Team Titleist, from posting in the discussions and adding blog comments to completing your profile, the better your chances are at potentially opening the doors to these Team Titleist rewards.

Played 9 holes yesterday with my test ball.  Hop and Stop is all I can say.  7 iron or PW this ball really performed well.  Even out of the rough the ball still held the greens with ease.  I was most impressed with the feel off the putter.  It really rolled early and true.  

Played nine holes with these today.  About 10 yards longer off the driver, with better dispersion.  About half a club longer off my irons.  Felt very solid coming off both.  Putting was good, pleasant feel off the putter face without being "clicky"

I'd like to order several dozen of these.  Do we ever find out what they are?

I played with them yesterday and I'm liking them alot.  They are everything you would expect from a titleist golf ball.

I went out last night and taped a few shots. I was surprised by the results. But it is what it is!

I'll tape some more on irons and short game.

Got the 3 ball sleeve last week and have played 18 holes with them. Cover feels like proVix but has the density of the proiv. This ball seems like a hybrid between the 2. Very nice feel and yet long.

Titleist Prototype Ball Test 9-15-14

Got mine about a week ago have played 2 rounds with them, comparing ProV1, srxn Zstar (2013 models)..  The prototypes feel softer off the putter than the ProV1, about the same as the Zstar.  Much more durable than the Zstar and a touch more than the ProV1.  So far about the same distance off the tee, but better height and it seems like somewhat better spin than the ProV1 and Zstar.  Playing today and will use them again.  More to come.......... since it's a match will not be able to hit two so just the proto's today

LAST WEEK I GOT A LITTLE WHITE BOX FROM TITLEIST AND NEXT DAY WENT OUT  PLAYED. 
ONE OF MY GOLF BUDDY CAN TELL I CAN HIT A MILES AWAY AFTER I TOLD HIM ITS A TEST BALL.

The Test Golf Balls are the real deal!  I was very fortunate to be able to test both the black and red numbers on my own and at a Titleist ball testing event yesterday!  The test balls have truly been improved which we come to expect from the #1 Ball! 

I just joined the Team. Looking forward to my first little white box. ;-)

Received test balls and have really liked them.  Good distance and feel.  Nice to have the opportunity to test a new product.
