Believe it or not, TSR Drivers hit golf shops about a month ago. With multiple Tour wins, a Major Championship under its belt, and thousands of TT members already adding TSR to their WITB profiles, TSR Metals have definitely made their presence felt.

For me personally, TSR has helped me get away from massively wayward tee shots. I've always had a 2-way miss: a bombing hook that carries miles left OB or a fluttering slice that goes equally as far right as my hook goes left, but much shorter.

With my new TSR3, we've managed to chase the CG over toward the toe with the Track System. That small change alone almost mitigated my hook entirely. For the right miss, my TSi3 was spinning upwards of 3,500 RPMs when I left the face open which was causing that ballooning effect. My new TSR3 shaved that miss down to 2,800 RPMs, which doesn't sound like much on paper but was costing me about 30 yards. Ultimately the TSR3 has really helped me manage my spin on mishits which has allowed me to keep the ball in play; which for those of you who play with me know how wild those old misses can be!

So let's hear it Team Titleist, why did you make the switch to TSR?

    Lethbridge,

I switched looking for extra distance and found it with my TSR2. As a side benefit my dispersion of of the tee became a lot better compared my TSi3. I also upgraded my TSi2 3 wood to the TSR2 3 wood and found another 10 yds in distance and again the dispersion is better. Love the TSR clubs don’t know that Titleist can improve on these models.

Thanks to my Team Titleist fitting, my new TSR2 Driver is about 10-20 yards longer than my previous TSi2 Driver, due to higher launch conditions and ball flight. The two shafts I was fitted in are the HZRDUS Red CB and the Ventus Velocore Red. During the fitting and according to Trackman, the dispersion with the Velocore Red is about 10-yard wide circle. I have since verified the fitting results at the outdoor driving range and some 9-hole rounds of golf.

It out performed my Stealth Plus an TSi3, especially on toe strikes which is where I tend to miss. I've played several rounds with it and my fairway hit percentage is up with a slight total distance gain. The sound is also so much better than any of the composite drivers I have played.

Was out of the game for some years, and came back with a completely open mind going into fittings needing to replace my 10-20 year old set. I hit just about every brand’s newest driver and it wasn’t even close for me. A little extra ball speed, a few more yards and far and away the best look at address with the TSR3.

Why did I switch to TSR? It’s better than what I had in TSI. Simple as that.

I had TSI3 and switched to TSR2. In the fitting process, I picked up about 10 yards of carry but bigger for me was my off center hits were flying just as far as my good hits with TSI3.

Throw in the left miss for me is all but gone with TSR2. My miss is right so if it goes left on me, I know I shut the face and pulled it.

When you know where the driver is going, no matter if a on center or off center hit, it gives you the confidence to swing more free. One less thing I need to worry about on the course.

Can’t say enough about the club. I told everyone in my playing group at the Streamsong event on the Red course they had to get TSR. It’s a game changer.

Get fit and see for yourself.

    Long story short.
It outperformed every driver I've hit on the course.
    12 different models.
    Speed,dispersion and distance.
Got fit this morning for 3 wood.
    I'm buzzin.

Needed a new Driver and a new Fairway Wood. Was playing the cally Big Bertha 815 in both Driver and Fairway Wood since 2014. Also needed it to complete my bag of all Titleist! I couldn't be happier with my new TSr3 Driver and TSr2 FW!!

My misses are much better, both from a dispersion and distance perspective. My miss tends to be on the toe side and I don’t see the drop off in ball speed I saw in previous drivers.
  10. I want to see if this one could possibly last longer than 12 months without cracking....
  11. I switched to the TSr2 because it was 14 yards longer with good dispersion.
  12. I went to the TSr2 based on the reduced spin and extra distance, tested the 3 and 4 as well, actually like the shape of the 3 and 4 versus the 2, but I can't argue with the numbers, the spin on the 2 was 2100 or so and the carry was 12 yards further than my old TSi driver. From a dispersion perspective, it was consistent and no left misses, which is a gift!
  13. I made the switch from TSi and immediately loved the improved sound and feel. As someone who struggles with a left miss, I also found TSR2 to be slightly less draw biased than TSi2. After gaming TSR for a month, I couldn’t be happier. Far and away the best Titleist driver I’ve ever owned and that was a high standard to meet!!

I play the TSR2 I was fitted at a team Titleist fitting and I was happy with the fitting enough to purchase the club!!! But when I got it I was even happier!!!! I’ve been playing it in for less than a month in Pa (oct/ nov) not exactly great weather and have hit some of the longest drives I’ve ever hit!!! Pretty happy and can’t wait til next summer!!!

I switched from tsi3 to tsr3 after a fitting. My best ball with the tsi was 298 yards with most in the high 280’s low 290’s. Tsr with similar shaft was 290’s carry and rolling out over 300. A shaft change to ventus blue 6x got a few more yards with a lot ending up 308-310 with one at 322. Couldn’t ignore the numbers!

I don't switch drivers often. It's the best club in the bag, so I am more reluctant to switch than most. I went from the TS3 to TSR3. The most noticeable thing I see is how unreal the forgiveness is. The face on the TSR3 is truly amazing. I've hit a few high toe shots on the TSR3, and while they may be shorter, they stay straight on line. I haven't gotten my numbers on it yet, I do know it's a little further and definitely hotter off the face. In terms of feel, it's unreal. I can honestly say, I know exactly where the club face is at impact on every single shot. It's exceptionally responsive and a beast. I can move the ball all directions, and have played enough in wind lately to be able to manipulate it high and low really easily.

Got fit for the TSR to replace my 917 and the difference is crazy. My problem has always been leaving the club face open resulting in a slice. Changing the weighting in the track system has made a big difference as now I do not leave the face nearly as open as I did with me 917 driver.

I buy new woods every cycle, they just keep getting better and better. Fed Ex just pulled up with three Titleist boxes!!!
  19. I switched to the TSR2 from the TSi3 driver. After testing both on Trackman, there was simply no doubt that the TSR2 worked better for me. Lower spin, tighter dispersion (not that the TSi3 was bad by any means) and more consistent distance. Both had the Tensei Blue shaft, but I did change from a regular flex in the TSi3 to a stiff in the TSR2. Very pleased and the TSR2 gives me confidence to really go after the ball, knowing that it will be in play. By the way, the 3 wood and 5 wood are awesome too.
  20. Its quite simple. I was fit for a TM Sim back in 2019. When I hit it well, it "fixed" all my problems (I came over the top, added loft and tons of spin), low spin, high carry distance. Since then I took some lessons, and developed a more consistent driver swing. I went and got re-fit, by a guy who wasn't trying to sell me something. He said go find the players clubs (not full forgiveness, not full low spin). At the time I hit the Rogue LS, the png 425 LST. Identical numbers for me. It was clear that I just needed the Low Spin, not ultra low spin, model with something I love the look of. I knew what shaft I loved from current bag and previous fits. Titleist gave me the looks, ball speed, perfect sound, but most importantly the balance of low, consistent spin, and high forgiveness on off center hits. I've actually lost about 5 yards on my drives, from perfect shots, but I'm so much more consistent now I've gained almost 2 strokes gained from driving on the switch alone.

Previously my great shots were 290 carry, dispersion of up to 100 yards each way (spray and pray). Now my great shots are 285 carry, but my dispersion is 60 yards each way. My worst shots before were 240 yards. My worst shots now are 260.
  21. I got the TSR driver and won the regional drive chip and putt at the bears club a few days after getting the TSR2. As a 13 year old I won the driving portion in the 14-15 age division thanks to the added distance/forgiveness of the new TSR2. I won overall as well to go to Augusta national in April.
  22. The biggest issue I have limiting me off the tee is the spin rate with the driver. Swing speed and ball speed are comparable to the pros, but the spin rate was limiting the distance. I was fit for the TS3 when it came out, though the TS4 model is the one designed to help reduce spin, I just didn't like the feel off the face and was able to take the spin off with the shaft. Went through the fitting process again and it is night and day different from the TS3 and even the TS4 to the TSR4 - the face is absolutely electric. The place that I was fitted didn't show much of an improvement (though I think their launch monitor was garbage) but at another sim in town I picked up 10-15 MPH ball speed and was able to reign in my spin rate to under 3,000 RPM. I can't wait for the winter to subside so I can get these new sticks out on the course!
