  1. I just switched from the TSI3 to the new TSR4. The 4 reduced my spin and brought my ball flight down to a more piercing trajectory. I was hitting my 3 around 285 yards and that was mostly carry. Now, with my 4 I am consistently rolling out in the 310 range, so the ball speed number improvements were real. Dispersion is also much tighter. The numbers on the scope proved the 4 was the best club for me and it has been proven now on course where it counts. I'm playing this with a Left Dash Pro V1x and am very happy with flight, spin and dispersion. Overall, this is the best Titleist driver I've had so far.
  2. I went to Oceanside to the The Titleist Performance Center to get fitted for my new driver. I already had a TSI 3 driver and I went from 180 yard carry and a 204 yd roll out to 195 yard carry in a 220 yard roll out simply by changing to a TSR2 with an AutoFlex shaft and my spin rate went down to around 2000 and I've been playing this driver ever since and it's an amazing club especially for me who is a 10 handicap and 80 years old.
  3. I had been playing with a new Stealth for a few months with minimal success. For some reason it was very hard to keep it straight off the tee for me. I scheduled a fitting at Stix96 in Wichita Ks and hit lots of different option. It kept coming back to the TSR2 for me. My 108mph swing sends them down the center of the fairway 90% of the time and 275 yards. I can reach 120mph speeds on the monitor and drive bombs 300 plus, but consistent 275 yard straight drives win all day long. Im very happy with this driver. Titleist just does everything better.
  4. I switched from my previous driver (stealth) to TSR4. Lowered my spin rates to a much more acceptable number. Launch went up and found that high launch low spin i was searching for.

I think TSR4 will be more widely used than any of the previous "4" models in the past, the moveable weight from front to back and just being more forgiving should make it much more inviting.

I choose to go with the TSR2 for more forgiveness of the face and for more launch speed. Boy am I impressed with the results. I had the TSi3 and had problems not hitting the center of the face so it would consistently slice to the right. Well with a little grip change and a nice Adlila Green XSTIFF shaft I'm striking the driver dead center and my misses are very rare. The distance and ball speed has increased, but the main thing I'm most happy about is the forgiveness this TSR2 gives me. Just more confidence off the tee and i can pretty much play it anywhere i need to. The next TSR i got was the TSR2+ 3 wood, that thing is great, through the light rough or the fairway I'm smashing that thing and the ability to control the shot type is remarkable to say the least. I have been a Titleist guy for a good 15-16 years and i am very impressed with these improvements in the TSR series of woods, just need to get me a new hybrid next year and ill be set with TSR woods and the New T-100s Irons. Thank you Titleist

I moved from the TSi3 to the TSR3 and while I loved my TSi3, I noticed substantial improvements in toe strikes and heel strikes. They felt more solid, the ball stayed on lined much better, producing more distance and tighter left to right dispersion. The confidence this has given me allows me to go harder at the ball without a fear of losing it directional. I attribute this level of confidence with the added distance I have been realizing with my TSR3. All my playing partners have noticed my gains and I think I am going to convert them to Titleist driver players.
  7. I swapped out my Drive TSi3 for the new TSR3 and filled the difference within a few days, hitting at least 12 more yards and the ball path is much smoother. It really has been a very good change. I am 69 years old and on the trackman the numbers show 240 -245 carry and 265-272 total
  8. I was fitted for a TSR at Pine Island CC in late August. My goals were a few more yards and a tighter dispersion. Adam put me with a TSR2 10° with a Tensei Blue shaft, regular flex 1/2 " shorter. I gained about 8 yards with a much tighter dispersion. I have gone back to my Tensei Blue stiff shaft standard length from my TSI3. A much better ball flight, and about 15 more yards. My buddies call me "DC", meaning dead center of the fairway. The TSR2 is the longest, most forgiving driver I have ever played. End of story.

I was one of the lucky few invited to TPI Oceanside in September for the Team Titleist TSR fittings. I found that moving from a 10 degree TSi3 to the 9 degree TSR improved my carry distance (!) almost 12 yards (at age 77). I also went with the TSR2 15 degree 3-wood and a 21 degree TSR2 fairway wood , which I refer tons a 5 wood, but may of you call a 7 wood. I have been impressed in the two months I've been playing them (including the TTI at Streamsong) by the improved carry distance and total distance across all three TSR models. I can carry bunkers that were real obstacles before, and reach some par 5s in 2 that were definitely out of reach. Didn't even think twice about making the move. Higher, faster, farther.

  11. What a revelation and revitalization of my driving! The TSR4 has got to be the most overlooked club on the market. It’s brought back my ability to turn tight draws into the most narrow fairways. Thank you so much Titleist and your engineering team!!
  12. I hit several drivers around 30 balls each. I hit the TSRS longer and straighter than the others by far. I bought the driver and 3 wood and I am super happy. I have never played so well.

Turned 40 this year and splurged on a Titleist fitting at TPI at Oceanside, CA for a full new set. Went from my Titleist 910 D3 to the TSR3 and gained about 15 yards. The experience was unreal and highly recommend getting a fitting at TPI. I'm a loyal Titleist user and always will be.

Why a new TSR driver? At 82 and just playing recreationally, it's not like I'm trying to build my golf game to accomplish something noteworthy. I mean, I'm not going to be long (although I'm fairly so for 82) - nor was I long as a college player (with persimmon woods and wound balata Titleists) sixty years ago! But I'm still a mid-single digit if I play tees that make sense. So I didn't really need to replace myTS2 - and don't normally try to chase what is current equipment anyway - but I got the opportunity to replace my whole club set - to my specs, and didn't see a reason not to, if nothing more that to just have something new to play with.

So how IS my new TSR2 driver? Well I went to the range yesterday (before the rains came), to see if the ads were right - that it is much more forgiving on off-center hits. I hope so ... but the thing was, I didn't have any off-center hits. (I know, I know, it was just one range session and not a round with my buddies - but still.)

At this stage of my "golf career", I'm trying not to have my game deteriorate - even while knowing it is inevitable eventually. From the first session with the new driver, it doesn't look like it's imminent. Looking forward for the rain to be over and take it to the course. (Oh, and to see those Titleist boxes with the irons and wedges.)

I siwtched from the TSI2 9 degree with the Autoflex SF505XX shaft to the TSR3 9 degree - same shaft, club head speed with the TSI2 averaged 115mph, the TSR3 jumped to 122mph with the change in swing weight... and the carry distance showed! I had played the "2" in titleist heads for over a decade, from the 913 D2, 915D2, 917D2, TS2, and TSI2, and this was my first go with with a "3." The look, feel, and performance sells itself for me - I've been Titleist brand loyal for a long time and I feel it creates a higher expectation for golf equipment than the rest of the industry... the new TSR did not disappoint!

Got my TSR3 about a month ago. I'm a 7 hdcp, so don't always hit it center of the face, but when I do this club is definitely longer (6-8 yds) than my previous driver (Epic Speed). The better news is that on off-center hits, the dispersion is so much better with the TSR3, it truly helps me keep the ball in play. I play in AZ, so miss a fairway, and you're in the desert. Looks like I'll need to demo the fairway woods and hybrids soon!

My driver swing speed is 100 mph. At the end of September I scheduled a 2 hour fitting with a Titleist rep. The TSR4 9° Driver delivered 25 yards additional carry and 8 mph more ball speed over my TS2. Dispersion is tighter. The B-3 hosel setting determined in the fitting works great, I had always been an A-1 guy. Also love my new 15 and 18 degree TSR fairways, TSI2 hybrid, T300 irons, and SM9 56/62. Everything new except my Scotty GoLo.

  18. I've been gaming a Cobra F9 since it was a new club, and loved the piercing, low spin bombs it provided. Only draw back to the head was it's toe strikes were very unfriendly. The big miss would be the knuckle-hook off the toe that would venture off into the tall grass, pond or Brenda's backyard. After a few seasons of dealing with that miss turning my good rounds into bad ones, I decided to try and find something that was more stable across the face. Something that could supply a good amount of spin, even when struck poorly. I decided the TSR4 (9*, heavy weight forward, D3 sleeve position, Hzrdus RDX Black 70g) was the answer.
Now, I'm a 6 handicapper. . . A good round for me is 75-78. An average round is 79-82, and excellent one is even par 71 at my local track. My first round out with the TSR4, I averaged 308 yards off the tee (291 with the F9), hit 11/14 fairways, and saw a very familiar ball flight to my previous driver, even when mishit. The look, feel and sound of the TSR4 was unmatched. The lateral dispersion was vastly improved. First round out I shot a 72. I can tell it is going to make the game easier for me, and the purchase was worth every penny for that security and confidence off the tee. I now see what all the fuss was about with these new TSR heads. I'm blown away. Now it's time to break 70!
  19. I will begin with saying I have always loved the look of Titleist drivers, but for some reason they have not performed well for me. I went into my recent fitting to hit the new TSR drivers but really to be fit for a new 3wood.

To be honest the 7 year old driver that I was playing was probably the most consistent club in my bag. That being said on mis-hits the spin could get north of 3500rpm. After several shaft changes and settling on the TSR3 with the Even Flow Riptide 6.5X my fitter had reduce that spin on mis-hits to less than 2500rpm, greatly reduce the dispersion, and increased carry and overall distance between 10-12 yards.

The TSR3 looks great at setup, sounds great, and feels amazing. I think it goes without saying….I have a new favorite club in my bag.
  20. I switched for the TSI2 to the TSR3 because I wanted more distance and i got it. The TSI2 provided what I wanted, it was forgiving but I was a lot shorter then I previously owned D3.

The TSR3 gives me 20-25 yards more carry at my comfortable swing speed of 105 and 15 yards more carry at 110-112 clubhead speed. The DI6 shaft helped additionally to bring the spin rate down to 2300 and provides a tighter dispersion.

I love the more traditional look
