I prefer low #'s ... usually a #1. I will change out the sleeves of the dozen box in the store for all #1's from other boxes. So if that's what you find when you go buy a dozen Pro V1's ... a box with the #1's missing .... that was me! LOL
In all seriousness, I would play whatever number .... if it was given to me by the Team Titleist Staff and had a BIG TT on the side stamp!

I alway play a number 3. It's the only slightly superstitious thing I do in golf. It's never a bad score...

Custom play number 24. I always order the buy 3 get 4 dozen of custom balls with all numbered 24. That was my hockey jersey number and my favorite number now.

Hi Abby,
Working at the same course for the last 20 years, its safe to say I have found hundreds and hundreds of golf balls. Unless they say Titleist on them, they go to different ranges or near by high schools for practice. My only preference is that its a Pro V or Pro V 1X. Since I live in southern N.J., I will be trying out the new Tru Soft this winter. We have teed off when the thermometer read 27 degrees. Its kind of hard to compress a ball at those temps.
Play Well,

I used to play the no. "69" in recognition of my lowest round but I got such a ribbing from it and when I ordered my annual custom Prov1 order, I ordered high numbers with my standard blue FJA on them. I tried the Tru Soft and will probably play a sleeve of them in the few weeks it gets cold in South Carolina. A really nice ball. Cheers, Chuck.

I usually will pay custom #13 balls as that was my hockey and baseball number in HS. Otherwise I like playing high numbers

36 years a "dumb Irish flatfoot"....every spring on the custom order special..4 for price of 3...39...badge # with a shamrock

Before custom #'s, I liked 3's since the 80's. Would add from 1-7 to make a 9 hole score 31 - 37. Next year, 4 for 3; best competitive score 62. But I lost to the assistant pro, front, back, 18.

Gotta go with the lucky number 7 everytime

I've gone with 50 (wish that was my age and not birth, but I'm liable to fudge my age). I put a green and red dot - every day on the course is like Christmas. Was mildly amused when one of the long time club members chastised me for not marking on both sides of the ball. I thought the custom number was clue enough.

I love to play with the #2 on a ProV1 marked with my initials. It was my sports number in high school and has turned into a lucky number for me. Playing with a #2 gives me a mental boost and I usually score my lower rounds with one. I also don't care too much about losing any other number if I shank one. I haven't bought any balls in the last year that didn't have the #2 on it.

I am a fan of the 5. When I was young, my Dad always said "Try to make all 5's....that's 90. The 4's and 3's will come and you wil be shooting in the mid to low 80's. To this day, my younger brother and I add up the score card with the over or under 5's. Makes it easier to tally and keeps our Dad fresh in our memories

I like the number 7 for the simple reson I played a complet round with the same ball and the number was number 7. Other than that any number will due as long as it is a Pro V1X

Custom #: 13, the date my daughter was born. No more superstition :-) When I step up to the first tee, golf ball in hand, I usually show my playing partner a Pro V1 with the number 1 and pink dots. As for Team Titleist Staff member Rick V., it's always a high number on his Pro V1x. And Team Titleist Manager Mike D. prefers to see the number 9 on his Pro V1x. So in our latest quick poll, we want to know ... what's your play number preference? Vote below and feel free to share the story (or superstition) behind your play number.
